Our Trustees

Board members have extensive experience in running charities and social firms. They also have expertise in start-ups and major project development.

There are currently eight trustees:
Boz Borowy was until recently the Director of a large local learning disability charity and has 40 years experience of working with the voluntary sector and disability organisations.

Hugh Lansdowne has 30 years experience in the voluntary sector, including working with people with disabilities, setting up credit unions and supporting local law centres.

Hilary Adams, born and bred in Lambeth, is a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years experience. She has a strong interest in disability issues.

David Strong is the Director of a local disability advice and information charity and has 40 years experience of working in the statutory and voluntary sectors in Lambeth.

Aubrey Ayoade a native son of South London, Aubrey was born-and-bred in Lambeth where he currently resides. As a child of the seventies, he spent many a shopping weekend in the sheltered labyrinth of Brixton Market as his parents bartered and negotiated for exotic provisions. Here, he learned about the importance of community, cooperation and shared optimism.

On leaving London in the late eighties, he pursued further education opportunities in Construction, Structural Engineering and Management, leading to a return to London and a career in Infrastructure Project Management for Road, Rail, Telecom and Commercial Building constructor-clients. 

Twenty years on, Aubrey has established a career in Portfolio, Programme and Project Management and has interests including vulnerable communities, Storytelling and Manchester City FC.

 Eileen Thomas (Chair of the Board) is an architect and planner She worked for 30 years for a number of local authorities – 20 of these as a director,  running a variety of environmental and regeneration functions. She then carried out a similar role in the private sector for a number of years. She is currently also a trustee of a trust in Islington which caters for people with mental health issues.
