Helping to make life better for older people…
Through services…
- Handyperson Service helping older and disabled people living in Lambeth with small jobs like hanging pictures & shelves, changing lights, fitting rails & door bells, or just moving heavy items.
- Information & Advice and Welfare Benefits Service bringing people assistance through regular advice surgeries. Drop in to a surgery for help with issues ranging from welfare benefits to telephone services. Home visits can be arranged for people who are unable to get out to a surgery.
Through the community…
- Vida Walsh Centre open four days a week. It hosts an Information & Advice surgery on Mondays and there are lots of other things to join in with on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
- Volunteering a great way for everyone to become more involved in our community. Meet new people, have fun, widen your experience, share your skills, you may even be challenged!
- Working together with local older people’s groups supporting them in a range of activities and events across Lambeth.
Through providing a voice…
- Age UK Lambeth promoting older peoples’ views, advocating for their needs and supporting older people as active participants in the community.
